The Bureau of Local Government Finance is the depository for the financial reports of local governments in Florida. Municipal and county governments are required to submit a copy of their fiscal reports and audits to the Bureau. The Bureau is under the Division of Accounting and Auditing, Dept. of Banking and Finance. Prior to 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws), these functions were the responsibility of the Comptroller's Office.
